| Smart DPA 98 / 989
Winner with test case: "very good"
In the 05/2010 issue of DIGITALfernsehen, the topic Unicable was highlighted and in connection with that the editorial tested several Unicable systems, including the DPA 98 / 989. As the only device in the test, the DPA 98 / 989 was able to distribute the signals of two satellite positions to the receivers. The constellation Hotbird – Astra and Turksat – Astra were tested, which worked fine in each case. The equipment and the smooth cooperation with all test receivers procured many bonus points. Also the default output for conventional receiver made a positive impression on the jurors. These and other features helped the DPA Smart 98 / 989 to win the test. The first points the MX44 gained after unpacking by the rapid and easy installation. Thanks to the built-in RAPS, the testers were supported with an updated channel list. With the built-in twin tuner, the jury was able to test the Picture-in-Picture feature and the innovative recording assistant, which is one of the highlights of the MX44. The ability to automatically filter commercial breaks impressed the editors. The test was rounded off by good measurement results when connected via HDMI.
